SANTOS LEADS SPORTING GIJON VICTORY TO BURN THE PROMOTION
Huesca began the match playing better than Sporting. Rubi´s
team start to control the game with their usual
verticality and their good one-touch game, but neither gave the local
team to give a real blow. They were winning in presence, enslaved but without
having any real chance to score a goal. Baraja´s players could end this first
phase of the match and they start to stop Huesca players by faults. The good
moves of Jony in the left wing of Sporting leads the Gijón´s team to the first real
attempts for his team. Carmona was responsible for giving the first warning
with a dive shot from the front and after that, Sporting only needed ten minutes when Jony laying a ball to the area, where Michel Santos
finished off a goal. It had been a
half-hour and Sporting Gijon had already seen the match won.
Goals of Sporting Gijon
Little else happened until the break. Huesca did not absorbed
the shock base don the inaccuracies in the way they were playing that was not
enough to generate football to make a comeback. In the second half, Sporting
Gijon was very comfortable on the lawn of Alcoraz controlling the match and Huesca
clung to his attack to try to wake up. However, in the minute 55 Cucho have a
great chance after dribbling two defenders.
Baraja players reacted so well after that warning from Cucho,
and after the Brezancic, Michael Santos took the ball and scored the second
goal by a heeled shot. The night got ugly for Huesca who refused to succumb.
Their counterattack plays could kill repeatedly Sporting but it was enough.
Without generating too much football they had two very clear chances to cut
away. Both through Ezekiel Rescaldani, who starred in their judgments the
delicate moment Huesca, the last one saved by Mariño with a great save. Baraja
is prolonging the best moment of the team since he arrived last december.
Sporting made a perfect match in both
areas and finally presented his credentials to promote this year to the first division.
Huesca will play next monday in Cadiz, who are in the third
position. Meanwhile, next Saturday Sporting will play in Gijon against Rayo
Vallecano, the leader of LaLiga123. Huesca is the second with 57 points (the
same as leader Rayo), and Sporting is the fourth with 52 –just 5 points less than Huesca and Rayo and 4
respect from Cadiz-. Next LaLiga123
weekend will be very relevant for the promotion chances to these teams, as well
as to the teams that are now classified among the positions 5th to 11th, as the
difference between the leader and Lugo (the 11th) in terms of points is 10.
